Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards is one of the many events Overland has the honor of designing year after year. The challenge is to bring a fresh look to it each year while maintaining the exacting standards for elegance and sophistication required by one of Conde Nast’s tent pole events. In 2019 the awards and summit were held at Lincoln Center’s incomparable Alice Tully Hall. The design of the event needed to celebrate and complement the hallowed interior and also distinguish itself as a fresh and original design. A two-tiered design was created so that both the set for the Summit and Awards could be installed at once and then flipped overnight, allowing the production to stick to a strict budget and schedule. It was a huge success, winning accolades from the A-list crowd as well as Best Set Design for the year from industry stalwart Bizbash.
