Teen Vogue presented an exciting challenge to the creative team at MKG: design the first-ever space exclusively for teens within New York Fashion Week. We needed to present an experience that emphasized as much "Vogue" as it did "Teen" and that also gave attendees a sense of privileged backstage access. My inspiration for the design came from the creative process of fashion designers. Featured clothing was presented as oversized pinups on fashion illustrations; guests were encouraged to create their own denim-based looks using a custom digital application; and shows were live-streamed into the space. The culmination of all these elements gave attendees a sense of being on hand for the moment of creative inspiration.
