Glamour’s Women of the Year Awards are a celebration of the achievements of women and a beloved event for over 15 years. Featuring remarkable women like Hillary Clinton, Nicole Kidman, Malala Yousafzai, and Maya Angelou, WOTY is a tentpole event for Condé Nast and generates millions media impressions for the brand. In the last 3 years, a summit has been added to further expand the reach of the property and connect with readers. 2017 marked the year that the Glamour WOTY awards and summit moved from Manhattan to Brooklyn. The Summit took place in the Brooklyn Museum and the awards were held at the historic King’s Theater. To connect the look of the summit to it’s location and mission, I curated an assortment of Brooklyn–based female artists to create custom graphics for the event. Additionally my team created sponsor build outs, environmental graphics, communal seating areas and scenic backdrops for social sharing.
